labels from the four corners of the globe. We will still be focusing on what we do best though, quality vintage clothes
and bags as well as sought after designer jewellery and accessories with new labels including Zare, Dapple-Grey,
Stonefox, Peachypan and Luxe. So whether you are after a one of a kind party frock or a bunny shaped bathmat Lala Orange

Lets blow this POPSICLE stand!
Presented by The William Street Collective Popsicle is a pop-up retail event that is the first of its kind in
Perth. Held as part of the 2008 Perth Fashion Festival from 4 – 14 September, Popsicle will house the
current ranges of emerging designers and established businesses in an empty warehouse space in Perth’s
Northbridge fashion precinct. The retail space will offer a unique shopping experience providing a platform for
designers to secure immediate sales and generate further interest in their brand from retail buyers and other
industry professionals.

have ever so cheekilyconstructed The Pope Is Dope range. Is the Pope a fashion icon? Pope Benedict XVI (Bene for
short) rocks thefashion circuit in his alleged Prada trainers and fine sense of head- dress. Sowhat’s to say he won’t
mind a bit of self- promotion in the form of a t-shirt?
Cool Perth Nights
Friday 18th July 8pm - The Bakery 233 James St Northbridge
Perth art pop bands the Bank Holidays, Sons of Rico, the Autumn Isles and these Shipwrecks from 8pm till late. There
will also be an exhibition in the Aperture Room by the seriously cool Perth artists Jodee Knowles and Kyoungi, which is
the second ‘Nolens Volens’ in their series and it is focused on the idea of immediate reactions and intuitive recognition!
Entry is $10 from 8pm.

Stars in Your Eyes
Roast Tomato Soup with Star Toasties
Its cold and wintery outside and there is nothing better than snuggling up to a loved one on the couch in
front of a TV watching a boxset (we suggest that 70's show or maybe Gossip Girl!) and slurping on some
delicious soup! Here is our fave its been tried and tested many times and its quiet sensational and we think
the toast stars will definately impress your lover.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60ml) olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1kg vine-ripened tomatoes, roughly chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp caster sugar
- 600ml vegetable stock
- 100g alphabet pasta
- 2 slices toast
Method
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Heat oil and add onion to casserole dish and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes or until softened. Add tomatoes,
garlic, and sugar, and season well with salt and pepper. Roast uncovered in oven for 20 minutes, then allow mixture
to cool. Puree in a blender, adding a little of the stock if the mixture is too thick. Return to pan and add remaining stock.
Bring to the boil, add pasta and simmer for 10 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Cut stars from toast
slices with a star cutter, and serve with soup! YUM!
