Our Events Of The Month![]()
Something In The Water - 7th February 7.00pm
Film Premiere - Astor Cinemas Beaufort St Mt Lawley
Something in the Water explores the rock phenomenon that is music in WA. How can the most isolated city in the world have exploded with so many successful bands over the years? Across decades and genres, Something in the Water asks the question “is it the isolation, the environment, the community or is something else responsible for the sparkling talent pool?”

32,000 Days - 21st February 6.30pm
3rd solo exhibition by David Spencer - United Galleries 281 Newcastle St Northbridge
Recently commissioned by Loti and Victor Smorgon and acknowledged by Joy Legge (of Artbank) as an artist to collect,
Spencer has had several group exhibitions both in WA and interstate, as well as sellout solo exhibitions. Spencer's vibrant
and dramatic art is an observation of the modern industrial world. His paintings are emotionally charged with bright colour
and are enlightened by pattern and reoccurring symbols. With these elements combined, we discover a composition that both
dignifies his imagination and the subject he chooses to explore.
The Cool Kids - Friday 22nd February
Straight up, THE COOL KIDS are diehard '80s babies who bring fresh, futuristic ideas to classic-style hip hop. Hailing from Chicago, the Cool Kids
have risen from underground sensations to the stars of the CMJ music industry festival in 2007.
The Cool Kids’ style contrasts starkly to the current sounds of disposable, over-produced hip-hop. Rhyming precisely over sparse, bass-heavy beats aboutBMX bikes and downtown b-boy bangers - not bitches and cars.
Get pumped as the world’s illlest hip hop party animals begin with their First ever Australian show at THE MANOR with full stage on February 22nd 2008! Supported by: BISCUIT, KIT POP and MASTER DASH & MO STEEZ.
Tickets $25+bf.
Limited Double packs to The Cool Kids and South Rakkas Crew (Mad Decent) are only $35+bf avail from Planet Video, 78s and Mills - selling out fast!

Dancehall has always threatened to take over the world, now THE SOUTH RAKKAS CREW are taking dancehall in a new direction. Their work has been sought out by DJ Shadow, Beck and Lily Allen, all of them after that authentic dancehall sound with the unique bend that the South Rakkas Crew are known for. Think, hip-hop-electro-rave-dancehall. It might sound weird but hearing their music, you will quickly realise that the South Rakkas Crew are not your average dancehall producers.
Hailing from Orlando, Florida where the booties are brown and the palm trees are high these brothers know how to P.A.R.T.Y. They have produced Dancehall music's biggest artists including Beenie Man, Elephant Man, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Lady Saw, Mr. Vegas, Ce'Cile, Mr. Easy, Sizzla, T.O.K., and the list goes on. They have become known as Dancehall's most innovative producers, bringing a fresh new sound which the top European DJ's have titled Electro-Dancehall.
Lucky for us, BLENDER are are on to it and are bringing them to Perth for their first Australian tour this February. Catch the latest signing to Diplo’s Mad Decent, South Rakkas Crew, burning it up at THE MANOR - Friday Feb 29th.

Create a complexion that is perfectly concealed by using a light, dewy base, eyes and cheeks that are defined with crafty
contouring and a barely-there lip.As seen at Burberry Prorsum steely grey eyes were balanced with the palest of pink
lips and at Zac Posen nude lips gave way to eyes that were shaded with tawny brown and highlighted with gold.

Place first 4 ingredients in blender, and process until smooth. With blender on, add ice cubes, 1 at a time, and process until smooth. Serve immediately. Garnish with an orange slice, if desired
