Legs Eleven

Leggings are going no-where this season and we are super-happy about it dammit! We think they should be staple in any gals wardrobe

the long lasting trend you should think about grabbing a pair yourself if you haven't already! We have some sweet styles in store at the

We have a whole new swag of vintage patchwork bags on the shelves at Lala Orange and they are super-sweet!
We quite enjoy the small purse bag in browns and tans, it’s a winner and would look pretty great teamed with a
winter coat and scarf we think! So come down and check them out and the whole bunch of other new vintage bags
we have in store now!

Winter Warmers

This one is for the boys! Winter calls for something warm and fuzzy and we have some delightful options on the

from Meet Tyrone like Jeremy Piven from Entourage or snap up a colourful hoody by Zuitton like party boy Mark
Hunter creator of cult blog Cobra Snake. They look hot so you should too!

Ros is mum to three lovely kids so who better to give some fashion tips but her! This month Ros suggests the black easy to wear Leonard

Events of the Month

Nolens Volens Exhibiton
Wednesday 14th May Keith & Lottie Gallery - 276 William St Northbridge
Jodee Knowles & Kyoungi Kim are two Perth based artists who are fascinated with the concept of perception. Basing their recent
collaborative show ‘Nolens Volens’ on the idea of immediate reactions and intuitive recognition. This show offers more than pen on paper,
the viewer can mirror themselves through the artists own personal familiarity. The term ‘Nolens Volens’ means- whether willing or unwilling,
which reflects the meaning behind the works.

Beauty Tip of The Month

Beauty. Berry. Bow. Courtesy of Sydney based make-up artist Sam Correy
The counterpoint to last season’s trapeze shape is this season’s 1920’s inspired drop-waist. So, for you diligent fashionistas out there
who are still donning your mini mu-mus now’s the time to shelve your optical eyeliner until the next revival and start drawing of a different
kind - attention to your lips that is. For a look that’s liberated, do as Clara did and paint on a “Bow” lip in a pretty berry shade. Press the
colour onto the centre of your mouth before feathering the edges for lips that are soft yet super-sexy.

Recipe of The Month

Heart Jewelled Cookies

Show your Mum some love this Mother's Day by baking these tasty cookies with sweet jewelled centers! She'll be super impressed we
promise!

1 cup softened margarine
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 cups sifted flour

You will also need the following:
bright-colored hard lollies (like life-savers)
several self-sealing plastic bags
aluminum foil
love heart cookie cutters
Mix the margarine, sugar and honey in a large bowl. Add the water and stir until smooth. Combine salt, baking soda, and flour in a separate
bowl. Add the dry ingredients to the sugar mixture a little at a time. Knead the dough between your fingers. Put it in the freezer to chill for at
least 10 minutes.
While the dough chills, separate the lollies by color into bags. Crush lollies with a rolling pin or something like a hammer!
Roll the dough out on a floured surface. Cut out hearts with cookie cutters. Then use mini cookie cutters to cut shapes out inside, or carefully
cut out by hand. Place cookies on a pan with aluminum foil and bake cookies for 8-5 minutes on 200 degrees then fill holes with crushed lollies
and bake till the lollies bubble (but don't let them burn!!!)

After the cookies cool and are hard, peel from foil. If some foil sticks to the cookie, just remove by hand. These taste great and look beautiful!
Sprinkle with icing sugar to complete the look!
